Rashmika Mandanna to star opposite Salman Khan in Sikandar

Actress Rashmika Mandanna is set to work with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Mandanna, who is predominantly known for her work in South Indian cinema, will share the screen with Salman in his upcoming movie Sikandar.

This will be the first collaboration between Rashmika and Salman. On Thursday(May 9), the makers shared the exciting newson theirsocial media handles.

Expressing her gratitude for the new starting, the Pushpa star re-shared the announcement post and wrote, 'You guys for a long time have been asking me for the next update and here it is.. ❤️Surprise!! ✨ I am truly grateful and honoured to be a part of #Sikandar.''

More details regarding Rashmika's character have not been revealed.

Directed by AR Murugadoss (known for Ghajini and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty), the movie will be produced by Sajid Nadidawala.

The filmwhich will feature Salman as Sikandar will release on EID 2025.

On the occasion of EID in April this year, the Kick star announced the movie on his social media handles with the post reading, ''Salman Khan in and as Sikandar.''

If reports are to be believed, the filming will commence in May and will be shot across India and Europe.

Ace music composer Pritam will score for the film.

The movie marks the reunion of Salman and Sajid Nadiadwala. The duo has together delivered superhits such as Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Sajid will bankroll the film under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner.

Mandanna was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal.

In the controversial movie, she played the role of Geetanjali, wife of Ranbir Kapoor's character.

Released on December 1, 2023, the movie was a huge box office hit.
