Thus, the left-handed opening batter will bank on his past experience and hope to deliver. He wants&nbsp;to encourage the players to be themselves and make&nbsp;leaders within the group.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has refuted the reports claiming&nbsp;a change in the venue of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final in case India qualifies for the title match. The report had suggested that the final could be moved to Dubai, UAE from Lahore if India qualifies and the relocation of the semi-final was also under consideration.

India and Pakistan do not play bilateral cricket given the animosity between the two nations and only face each other in the ICC tournaments.

Last year, India refused to travel to Pakistan for the regional Asia Cup and eventually, its matches were held in Sri Lanka. Pakistan, however, had travelled to India soon after for the ODI World Cup 2023.

As per the draft schedule, the PCB has earmarked Lahore as the venue for all of India's matches including the final and semi-final, should India qualify.

Recently, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi also expressed confidence in India travelling to Pakistan for the tournament.

Former England World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan feels the Jos Buttler-led side would require the services of Test skipper Ben Stokes and red-ball specialist Joe Root for the upcoming 2025 Champions Trophy (CT). The mega event is set to be held in Pakistan early next year. Morgan, who will be seen in action in the&nbsp;International Masters League in India in Nov-Dec, feels Stokes and Root's availability will bolster England's chances to win their maiden CT title. Root hasn't been part of the ODI setup for long, having played his last game in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Stokes, on the other hand, came back from ODI retirement for last year's WC and his 50-over future remains unclear since.

Recently, Stokes stated that he hasn't received a call from England head coach Brendon McCullum about his ODI future. Morgan feels both Root and Stokes should get a call-up for CT 2025.

"Ben Stokes has already said that he hasn't had the call yet from Baz as to whether he will play or not," Morgan said at the launch of the International Masters League in Mumbai on Tuesday. He further opined, "If that call comes, obviously he would love to play. In my eyes, they've got to come into a major world tournament and look to win it, and that means trying to find the best team - and for me, Stokes and Root are in that best team."

Morgan also lauded the Harry Brook-led England side for the fight shown in the recent home ODIs versus Australia, which they lost 3-2. He stated, "At the moment, I'm happy to back the younger players. In the recent series against Australia, they found a template. Australia, you have to commend how good they are at the moment in all formats of the game. But when you put them up against a side that, at stages, didn't have [Jofra] Archer, no Wood, Stokes and Root as well, no Buttler, that's half your England team."

"The run chase at Durham (England were chasing 305 in the third-ODI), when Harry Brook scored that magnificent hundred and then just went on to find his feet as captain and&nbsp;the template that they found in that game, I thought, is one that really suits the players that they've selected. Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson thinks that Steve Smith should continue to open in Tests while Cameron Green must bat at number four, keeping the future in mind. The statement comes as Australia prepares to host India for upcoming five-Test Border-Gavaskar series next month in November.

Smith has scored 171 runs as opener in Tests at an average of 28 with half of those runs coming in one innings against West Indies earlier this year.

As for Cam Green, Watson opined that moving forward he's perfect for the number four position in Tests.&nbsp;

"Cameron Green came in and batted at No. 4 and did a brilliant job," Watson said. "His hundred that he got in New Zealand was something very special and he's the perfect No. 4 candidate now with the future, moving forward."

Australia, however, are sweating over Green's fitness who returned home mid-way from the recent ODI series against England due to soreness in lower back.

Australia are hoping to turn around their fortunes in Tests against India having lost four consecutive series including two series at home as well. The Aussie last won a Test series against India in 2014.
