Terra Charge partners Smartworks to launch EV charging hubs in Noida, Gurugram
Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider Terra Charge has formed a new partnership with Smartworks Tech Solution Pvt. Ltd, which is the largest managed office space operator in India. This partnership involves placing of modern EV charging stations at Smartworks’ Golfview Towers in Gurugram and Corporate Park in Noida.
Under the deal, Terra Charge will install state-of-the-art Japanese technology chargers at some of the most identifiable Smartworks centres. The plan’s objective is to enable Smartworks to make a success of transitioning to electric vehicles by enabling its members to charge them effectively. Through these charging hubs in coworking spaces, Terra Charge plans to target Green consciousness spreading Indias and help the transition to as EV nation.

“Our partnership with Smartworks is a pivotal step towards achieving our global sustainability targets and realising our ‘mission to zero’ vision,” said Akihiro Ueda, CEO of Terra Charge. “We are optimistic that by offering convenient charging options within coworking environments, we can encourage more young professionals to make the switch to electric vehicles and accelerate the growth of sustainable transportation in India.”
This setup comprises one AC and one fast DC charger in Noida and a single charger of the DC type in Gurugram. These chargers are live and up for usage by Smartworks members and any other visitor to the office space. Terra Charge will also come with a round the clock monitoring and support to make sure the charging experience is a smooth one.
Terra Charge has been placed in the EV infrastructure establishment as a serious contender having installed over 300 chargers in India. In order to increase access to charging it has engaged with a number of private and public entities for networks for both operators of fleets and users of vehicles. On that note, Terra Charge is seeking more collaborations for it to increase its market share in the Indian EV market that is predicted to grow to USD 5.7 billion by 2030.
