US President Donald Trump once again emphasised that the US will take control of Gaza as he met Jordan's King Abdullah at the White House on Tuesday (Feb 11). This was their first meeting since Trump announced his proposal to move Gazans (two million people) to other neighbouring countries, including Jordan.&nbsp;

Nearly 200 bombs from World War II have been found under a children's playground in northern England in the town of Wooler, media reported, further stating that more such bombs will be unearthed. Reports said that a total of 176 bombs have now been found so far.&nbsp;
The bombs were found during a construction project to expand the playground. The staff found a suspicious object while digging the foundation.&nbsp;
The first of the bombs still contained a charge which means they were found with their fuse and contents still intact.&nbsp;

<h2>What new powers does DOGE have?</h2>
The order states that agency heads "will undertake plans for large-scale reductions in force and determine which agency components (or agencies themselves) may be eliminated or combined because their functions aren't required by law".
Under the directive, agencies are required to "initiate large-scale reductions", potentially eliminating entire divisions deemed non-essential and can hire only one new employee for every four who leave. Furthermore, Musk's team has been granted oversight and veto in fresh hiring decisions.&nbsp;

His comments came as Trump pushed his suggestion of relocating all Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to neighbouring Jordan and Egypt, to transform Gaza into a luxury destination. The US president had proposed turning the territory into a high-end "Riviera."
Revealing more about his plan, the US president said that he would not personally develop property in Gaza. "Palestinians will live safely in another location that is not Gaza. We will run Gaza very properly, we&rsquo;re not going to buy it," Trump said.
