It is developed by Sweden’s Saab AB, and can reach a top speed of Mach 2. It can fly up to 4,000 km without refuelling and complements air-to-air missiles such as AIM-120 AMRAAM, IRIS-T, other air-to-ground weapons and precision-guided bombs. The Gripen E variant has high manoeuvrability and advanced avionics like AESA radar, electronic warfare suite and modern cockpit with touchscreen displays. Each unit is likely to cost between $138 million to $146 million.<h2>Ukraine to access Russia's immobile assets?</h2>Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson said that as part of the deal, Ukraine will receive 120–150 Gripen E spanning 10–15 years. The deployment, however, is expanding. On Thursday, Washington announced joint naval exercises with Trinidad and Tobago, just off Venezuela’s coast. The USS Gravely, a guided-missile destroyer, will dock in Port of Spain between October 26 and 30 while US Marines train with local forces.
