While Donald Trump readies his 100-day plan, he made several promises to US voters while campaigning. In his victory speech, Trump said that he will govern by a simple motto, “Promises made, promises kept. We're going to keep our promises."
Here are several promises that Trump made while he was campaigning for US Elections in 2024
He promised to end inflation
Exit poll data suggests that the economy was a primary issue for voters. Trump has promised to end inflation which rose dramatically under President Joe Biden. He also promised to do tax cuts and to abolish tax on social security payments.
Trump has vowed to cut climate regulations
During his first presidency, Trump made America the first country to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement. This time also he has promised to remove climate regulations to support the car industry. He also pledged to maximise the production of US fossil fuels.

No law on abortion ban
During his debate with Kamala Harris, he said that he would not support the law of a national abortion ban. The nationwide constitutional right to abortion was overturned by the Supreme Court in the year 2022. However, Trump said he will not sign this law, and he feels that every state is free to decide its rules on abortions.
Free some Jan 6 rioters
Trump intended to free some of those arrested because of conducting offences during the riot in Washington DC on 6 January 2021. Trump was accused of inciting the riots as his supporters gathered at the capitol building to overturn Biden’s victory.

Trump promised mass deportation
During campaigning, Trump has promised to deport undocumented migrants. He will be conducting a mass deportation in US history. However, as per BBC reports, deportation on this scale could lead to legal and logistics challenges.
