IDF calls its air defence ‘effective’, says intercepted ‘large number’ of Iranian missiles fired at Israel

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) called the air defences “effective”, saying that it intercepted “a large number” of the 180 ballistic missiles launched by Iran on Tuesday (Oct 1) evening.
Israel’s air defences were “effective,” the IDF said. The Israeli military added that there are “isolated” impacts in central Israel and several more impacts in southern Israel.
There is no damage to the “competence” of the Israeli Air Force in the attack, and the IAF’s planes, air defences, and air traffic control are operating normally, the military added.
Meanwhile, Iran's state-run media channel, Press TV, claimed, “80 per cent of missiles fired at occupied territories hit targets”.
The Iranian mission to the United Nations said that Iran's legal, rational, and legitimate response to the terrorist acts of the Zionist regime has been duly carried out.

The IDF released footage of hundreds of Iranian missiles as they rained over the Old City in Jerusalem.
