The remains of a teenage mother who was pregnant with another child on the way were discovered at a home in southwest Chicago, officials confirmed on Wednesday, and her unborn child was ripped from her womb. 

Chicago police say several people have been taken into custody following the discovery Wednesday of the remains of a missing pregnant teen mother at a home on the southwest side of the city.

Her body was discovered with her unborn child reportedly ripped from her womb.

She was purportedly lured to a home under the pretence that she was picking up clothes for her unborn child, a local CBS station reported.

She had been strangled and left in a trash can.

The baby was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
