According to reports, three Belgian countries have been accused of exporting chemicals to Syria. The trial date has already been set by a Belgian court.

Chemicals exported include isopropanol which is also known to be used for producing nerve gas.

The case is likely to commence on May 15 in Antwerp, Belgium and will have under purview the export of several chemical substances between 2014 and 2016 to Lebanon and Syria.

Chemical group AAE Chemie along with two handling agents, Danmar Logistics and Anex Customs, are accused of making the exports.

President Bashar al-Assad-led government is accused by the West of using chemical weapons against its own population, particularly during the most recent offensive on Douma. The Syrian government denies any such allegations.
