The Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, whose one of the biggest campaign issues was the reproductive rights for women in the US, has won several states in the 2024 presidential election.
Here's the list of states won by the Democrat:
Colorado
Kamala Harris won Colorado and securedthe10 electoral votes in the state. Over the past two decades, the swing statehas supported Democratic candidates in presidential races.
District of Colombia
Claiming its three votes in the Electoral College, Harris won theDistrict of Colombia in the 2024 presidential election.
New York
The vice president bagged 28 electoral votes by winning New York and became another Democrat supported by the state since 1984.
Vermont
In Vermont, Harris maintained the Democratic stronghold in the presidential race of this year as well.
Maryland
Harris won Maryland to bag 10 electoral votes of the state. Maryland has a strong Black community comprising 30 per cent of the state's population and has leaned towards the Democratic party in recent years.
Connecticut
In Connecticut, Harris continued the pattern of the Democratic win since the past nine presidential elections.
Massachusetts
The state has not supported a Republican since 1984. Harris won Massachusetts by continuing the streak of Democratic wins in the state.
Rhode Island
Harris bagged four electoral votes in Rhode Island by winning the state in this presidential election.

New Jersey
The Democratwon New Jersey and the 14 electoral votes of the state. New Jersey has been a Democratic stronghold since 1988.
Delaware
Delaware, a Democratic supportersince the 1980s, was won by Harris.
Illinois
Kamala Harris conquered Illinois and its19 electoral votes in the 2024 presidential election.
