Wildfire on Greek Island of Rhodes forces thousands to evacuate

According to Yannis Artopios, a spokeswoman for the fire department, at least 2,000 people, including tourists, were evacuated with the aid of three coast guard vessels, one army lifeboat, and 30 private sailboats. 30,000 people were relocated to safer areas. All of the guests, according to Artopios, had been securely ejected from the hotels and rental properties.
