Race between Washington and Beijing will have an impact on the Pacific. Later this month, US President Joe Biden is scheduled to travel to Papua New Guinea. According to the White House, Biden will stop there on his way from the G7 leaders summit in Hiroshima to the QUAD leaders summit in Sydney. He will be the first sitting US president to visit the Pacific nation.
