Iraq’s oil production has sharply collapsed as the ongoing US-Israel war with Iran disrupts shipping through the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Industry sources say output from Iraq’s southern oilfields has plunged by about 70%, dropping from around 4.3 million barrels per day to nearly 1.3 million barrels.
