US announces military aid package worth $345 million for Taiwan

The US pledged $345 million in military aid for Taiwan on Friday. This is the first such package under the Biden administration to use American stocks to assist Taiwan in containing China. According to the White House's statement, the package would cover Taiwanese training, education, and defence.
