UNICEF: UN Agencies Sound Alarm as Sudan Crisis Pushes 30 Million to Brink of Survival
UNICEF: Four United Nations agencies – UNICEF, WFP, UNHCR, and IOM – have issued an urgent appeal for international action as Sudan’s civil war deepens its humanitarian catastrophe. After more than 900 days of fighting between the army and paramilitary RSF, over 30 million people now need urgent aid, including nearly 15 million children. With famine, disease outbreaks, and mass displacement crippling the nation, the agencies warned that the country faces total collapse of food, health, and education systems.
