UN officials condemn worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, support Palestine's statehood
The United Nations General Assembly has voted in favour of a peaceful settlement of the Palestine issue and implementation of a two-state solution, but without Hamas. The resolution, known as the 'New York declaration', was approved by a majority of 142 countries in favour, 10 against, and 12 abstaining.
