Only two roofs poke out of the vast expanse of an artificial lake that has swallowed an ancient Turkish town Hasankeyf that once drew in tourists with its pre-Ottoman ruins. The echoes of hammers banging stone and dust kicking up from construction sites around the Tigris River lake reveal a new city that is still a work in progress.
