Teenager convicted over foiled plot to attack Taylor Swift Vienna concert

A 16-year-old Syrian teenager, Mohammad A, was convicted by a Berlin court for aiding an Islamic State-inspired terrorist plot targeting Taylor Swift’s concert in Vienna. The foiled attack led to the cancellation of Swift’s Vienna shows last summer. Mohammad A received an 18-month suspended sentence after confessing to providing bomb-making instructions and support to co-conspirators. Authorities continue to monitor rising youth radicalization in Europe.
