Syrian Government Announces Ceasefire In Aleppo

Syria's defence ministry declared a ceasefire in Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsoud, Alashrafieh, and Bani Zeid neighbourhoods after deadly clashes with Kurdish-led SDF fighters killed at least 21 people. The truce took effect at 3:00 am Friday to prevent escalation in residential areas. Government forces had battled SDF in the city for several days amid ongoing Syrian conflict tensions.
