PayPal Confirms Data Breach Alert: Sensitive Personal Data May Have Been Accessed

PayPal has officially confirmed a data breach involving its PayPal Working Capital (PPWC) loan application, where a coding error left sensitive customer data exposed for nearly six months. The issue affected a subset of users who applied for business loans and potentially exposed names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and business addresses to unauthorized access from July 1 to December 13, 2025.
