Nicaragua's Ortega says Opposition should 'forget' elections

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has announced that the country will no longer hold national elections, effectively removing any future electoral challenge to his rule. Ortega, who has governed since 2007, said the move would block the opposition from returning to power, further consolidating the political control he shares with his wife ahead of the end of his current term next year.
