New NDAA bill eliminates diversity programmes

The US House of Representatives has narrowly passed the annual defence authorization bill. The much-debated bill has set policies for the Department of Defense, with controversial amendments by Republican members on hot-button social issues. The final vote on the National Defense Authorization Act(NDAA) stood at 219 to 210 with almost all Democrats voting against it.
