Meta shuts down China-based network of 4800 fake accounts

Facebook's parent corporation Meta announced on Thursday that it has closed down a network of 4,789 phony Chinese Facebook accounts, which were ostensibly created to divide voters ahead of the 2024 election. This represents the most recent instance of attempted foreign meddling in American politics via social media.
