Russia has launched its largest aerial assault on Ukraine since the full-scale invasion began in 2022. In a massive overnight attack, Moscow fired 53 missiles and 496 drones, targeting nine regions across Ukraine. Lviv was hit hardest, with four civilians killed—including a 15-year-old—and six more injured. Residential buildings, power grids, and civilian infrastructure were destroyed, causing widespread outages and fires.
President Zelensky is urging the West to urgently supply more air defense systems to counter what he called aerial terror.
