Major General Aharon Haliva, the head of Israel’s military intelligence, quit on Monday (Apr 22) over the failure to prevent the October 7, 2023, attack by Hamas which killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians. Israel responded with a large-scale offensive in the Gaza Strip which killed more than 34,000 Palestinians so far.
