Israel admits plot to kill Iran’s supreme leader

Since the recent escalation of tensions, Israel has admitted that the army intended to kill Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during the 12-day war but failed to find a viable opportunity. Defense Minister Israel Katz made these statements while speaking days after the U.S.-backed Israel-Iran ceasefire came into effect following the conflict.
