Holding his thread firmly in between his fingers, Iraqi artist Saeed Hwaidi carefully tightens the black string between nails he had hammered into a wooden board. His technique, called string art or filography, is time-consuming and requires a lot of concentration, especially for the crafting of portraits which is what Hwaidi likes most.
