Since September, following the custodial death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who died days after being detained by morality police in Tehran. A growing number of Iranian women are defying the hijab law. But in the latest, Iran’s judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei has threatened to prosecute women without mercy who appear in public unveiled as women continue to defy Iran's compulsory dress code.
