Monsoon rains in India have caused devastation in Northern India, with landslides and heavy rainfall leading to casualties and disrupting normal life. Delhi broke a 41-year-old rainfall record, receiving 153 millimetres of rain in a single day, while Chandigarh experienced the highest-ever rainfall for the season.
