Inside India's deadly floods

Monsoon rains in parts of northern India this last week broke 4-decade old records, causing havoc across 5 Indian states. Rivers in spate turned into ferocious torrents devouring all in their wake - cars, bridges, power stations, temples were all swallowed up. In the Indian capital New Delhi too massive administrational lapses showed as record rainfall hit road traffic, devastated buildings and trees and inundated neighbourhoods.
