Indian Cyber Agency Flags WhatsApp ‘Hijack’ Threat
India’s cybersecurity authority, CERT-In, has warned of a dangerous WhatsApp vulnerability called GhostPairing. The flaw in the device-linking feature allows hackers to take complete control of user accounts, accessing messages, images, and videos on WhatsApp Web without passwords or SIM authentication. CERT-In issued an advisory highlighting the exploit and urging caution.
