Indian astronaut to pilot Axiom-4: Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla to fly to space in May
Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma is the first and the only Indian astronaut. Sharma flew to the Soviet Salyut 7 space station in April 1984. Very soon, a second Indian will be flying to space. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, an Indian Air Force fighter pilot, is slated to fly to the International Space Station next month.
