India: Rules for social media influencers, up to $62,000 fine for failing to disclose financial ties

A view to bring transparency into murky world of influencer marketing is planning to impose stiff fines or penalties on influences not disclosing partnerships. The Indian government is likely to scrutinize the practice of paying popular people on social media to promote products now as per the proposed guidelines.
