India Clears Military Purchase Proposals Worth $25 Billion

India's defence ‌acquisition council approved proposals ​worth ​2.38 trillion rupees ($25 ⁠billion) ​on Friday ​to buy medium transport aircraft, ​Russian ​S-400 surface-to-air missile ‌systems, ⁠and remotely piloted strike ​aircraft, ​the ⁠government said in ​a ​statement.
