A software engineer at Google has been charged by the U.S. Justice Department for allegedly using confidential company data to rig prediction market bets on Polymarket. Prosecutors say Michele Spagnuolo earned nearly $1.2 million by placing bets linked to Google’s unreleased “most-searched” trends.
