Ghana unveils major mining reforms; Communities to get direct share of revenue

In its most significant mining reform in nearly 20 years, Ghana has announced plans to reduce the duration of mining licenses and require mining companies to share revenues directly with local communities. The move aims to ensure fairer distribution of wealth and greater accountability in the mining sector, according to a government minister.
