FIFA President Gianni Infantino says the governing body will examine the possibility of expanding the men's FIFA World Cup to 64 teams after the 2026 tournament. Following the jump from 32 to 48 teams, the proposal, first raised by CONMEBOL for the 2030 centenary edition, could further reshape international football, with Infantino saying every nation should have the opportunity to dream of reaching the World Cup.
