Federal Reserve kicks off debate on issuing its own digital currency

United States has become the latest country to jump on digital currency bandwagon. US central bank Federal Reserve, it has said in a long-awaited discussion paper released yesterday that creating an official digital version of US dollar could give Americans more and speedier payment options.
