Denmark's Queen Margrethe II to step down from throne on January 14

Denmark's Queen Margrethe II announced her plans to abdicate after 52 years and pass the throne to her son, Crown Prince Frederik. The queen, Europe's longest-reigning living monarch, revealed during her New Year's speech that she would step down on Jan. 14th.
