Court rejects Meta's bid to block FTC privacy probe

A federal appeals court has ruled against meta platforms, allowing the federal trade commission to resume its investigation into Facebook's privacy practices. The FTC wants to impose stricter controls, including a ban on profiting from children's data and limitations on facial recognition technology. Meta is challenging the FTC's authority in a separate lawsuit.
