China chairs South Pacific islands meet, seeks big deal
The Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi met his specific counterparts in a crucial meeting in the Fijian capital Suva. This is an attempt by China to try and encourage the countries to sign up to sweeping economic and security deals with Beijing that will help that will help the Xi Jinping administration to get a stronger foothold in the pacific region.
