Central Bank restricts dollar holdings of US Banks

In Argentina, the Central Bank has restricted dollar holdings of banks. The limit set is an effort to deter hoarding ahead of President-elect Javier Milei's devaluation plan. The legislation is effective right away and will last until the end of the year. The new regulation will compel banks to unwind dollars they already hold in their portfolio.
