Canada Ends Fast-track Visas For Foreign Students Amid India Diplomatic Dispute

The Canadian government has announced the end of its Student Direct Stream (SDS), a scheme popular among Indian students for accelerated study permit processing. Students from India and 13 other countries will now apply through Canada's regular study permit system, rather than the SDS, which previously provided speedier application processing.
