Bringing Cairo back to life by renovating historic buildings
One of North Africa's most famous cities is undergoing a revival. Egyptian architects have launched a project to restore historic areas of Cairo to its former glory as they fear ancient artefacts might otherwise be lost. Cairo was declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1979.
