In a rare win for an energy source not favoured in Germany's biggest region. Residents of a rural Bavarian village have said yes to the installation of wind turbines on the hillside next to their community. Economically prosperous and hungry for power Bavaria had been dragging its feet on the expansion of wind energy capacity, which is vitally needed for Germany to hit its goal of being carbon neutral by 2045.
