Amnesty International: Use of death sentences across the world at its highest in 5 years

According to the Amnesty global report on death penalty in 2022, the use of death penalty across the world is at its highest in five years. There has been a 53% rise in death sentences since 2021 while in 2022, 90% of these executions took place in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
