On August 24, he turned himself in to Georgia authorities after facing 13 felony charges by a Fulton County grand jury. His mugshot was taken while being booked at an Atlanta jail for allegedly trying to reverse the 2020 election results in Georgia.</p>

New Yorker saves little girl from 75-year-old man who sexually assaulted her

<p>A mysterious 'wolf man' was seen roaming around the forests in central Germany's Harz mountains by some hikers, reported Bild.<br />
<br />
The man, who is said to have lived for five years in the forest, was captured by two hikers on the camera, who as per reports saw him naked, without a piece of cloth on his body, and carrying a wooden spear at the foot of a ruined castle.<br />

In the blurry photos, the man is looking either covered in dirt or extremely hairy while he is sitting on the ground and playing with the sand.</p>

<p>31-year-old Gina Weiss and her 38-year-old friend Tobi were taking a walk in Blankenburg in the state of Saxony-Anhalt on Tuesday evening when they clicked the picture.</p>

“He wouldn’t take his eyes off us, said nothing. He looked dirty like a Stone Age man from a history book,” he added. The pair stated that they had 10 minutes of encounter with the 'wolf man' who is believed to be in his 40s.<br />

This is not the first time they have spotted the supposed 'wolf man' in the Blankenburg region. Authorities stated that multiple reports have been submitted to them over the last half-decade of someone appearing in a wolf costume or wearing wolf fur in the forest.</p>

<h2><strong>Police receive calls for help</strong></h2>

<p>Head of Blackburn Fire Brigade Alexander Beck said, “Someone clearly knows how to live outside and adapt to the changing seasons.” In March, police had received calls from hikers saying, “Help, there’s a wolf man running around here.”<br />

The call was taken seriously by the fire brigade and the police and the area was searched around, however, they only found old fire sites.</p>

"In the future, the winters will probably get hotter," Fabio Luiz Teixeira, a professor at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Sao Paulo, told AFP.</p>

<p>According to experts, the abnormal weather in August 2023 is because of a large mass of hot and dry air hovering over Brazil.</p>

<p>An incredible video has gone viral on social media which shows a surfer in New South Wales, Australia riding a wave with what appears to be a dead shark on his board.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The footage was <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtqJPA4_5Po">captured</a>&nbsp;at&nbsp;Yamba Main Beach and the surfer could be seen riding the paddleboard, sitting on his knees while the shark carcass was pointed towards the shore.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to&nbsp;9 News Australia, the shark had "sadly died before the surfer found it". The shark species was not yet identified.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kristin Grace, who posted the video on TikTok first, described the bizarre scene as an “Only in Australia” moment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The video was immediately flagged with a warning, reading: “The actions in this video are performed by professionals or supervised by professionals. Do not attempt.”</p>

<p>Australia is well-known for its wild and dangerous wildlife. The continent is a hotspot for nearly 200 species of sharks.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier this year in February, a 59-year-old Australian tourist was killed by a shark near a beach in the French Pacific territory of New Caledonia. At the time of his death, the man was swimming close to a pontoon and was 150 metres away from the shore when the shark attacked.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Notably, a recent study by California State University found that sharks swim much closer to humans than previously imagined. The researchers arrived at the conclusion after conducting over 1,500 drone flights spanning two years in southern Santa Barbara County and central San Diego County.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"In both spots, the sharks were observed swimming near humans on 97 per cent of the days surveyed, and often within 50 yards of wave breaks. The sharks generally came closest to surfers and stand-up paddle boarders," the study revealed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Giraffe experts believe she is the only solid-coloured reticulated giraffe living anywhere on the planet,” said Bright’s Zoo, in a statement.</p>

<p>The female giraffe is uniformly brown in colour and lacks the distinctive patched pattern commonly found in giraffes and also the exceptionally long necks, they are famous for. Brights Zoo stated that the giraffe already has a height of 6ft and has been kept under the care of her mother as well as the zoo staff.</p>

<p>The zoo stated that it is one of a kind giraffe, as giraffes without mottled appearance are very rarely born. A system of blood vessels is present in the skin under the sports which helps giraffes in releasing heat through the centre of each patch and provides a form of thermal regulation.</p>

<p>However, experts have failed to explain why the baby giraffe is such a colour, as per zoo founder Tony Bright.</p>

<p>Every giraffe, except the Tennessee newcomer, has a unique pattern of patches and the researchers say that the animals inherit these patterns from their mothers.</p>

<p>Brights Zoo stated that such unusual birth will probably highlight the challenges which are being faced by giraffes in the world.&nbsp;</p>

Spotless giraffe, incredibly rare and one of its kind, born at zoo in Tennessee

<p>In a bizarre incident, a group of thieves fixed a ‘Muhurat’ (auspicious date and time) with the help of an astrologer to carry out theft in the house of a realtor in the Indian state of Maharashtra.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The incident took place on April 24, 2023, when the thieves barged into the house of the realtor and beat his wife in front of the children, tied her hands and then ran away from the house with gold ornaments, cash and other items worth Rs 1.07 crore ($128,959 ~ $129,000), stated the police, who filed a first information report (FIR) at the Baramati taluka police station on the basis of information provided by victim Trupti Gofne.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Six men, which included the astrologer, were arrested by the police in this case. The accused were identified as Sachin Ashok Jagdhane (30), of Baramati, Rayba Tanaji Chavan (32) of Indapur, Ravindra Shivaji Bhosale (27) of Baramati, Duryodhan alias Deepak alias Pappu Jadhav (35) of Phaltan in Satara, Nitin Arjun More (36) of Solapur and the astrologer Ramchandra Weaman Chavan (43) of Phaltan.</p>

On April 21, her husband visited the Tirupati Balaji temple and a group of men entered their house around 8 pm local time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The men allegedly thrashed Trupti, gagged her with a cloth piece and tied her hands and legs in front of her children. The men looted&nbsp;Rs 95.30 lakh in cash ($114,858), two cell phones worth&nbsp;Rs 35,000 ($421.81) and gold ornaments worth Rs 11,59,300 ($13,972) from the house and escaped.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Investigation reveals the whereabouts of the accused thieves</strong></h2>

<p>The superintendent of Pune rural police was informed about the incident after which he started an investigation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the investigation, the five accused worked in the same company and knew each other well. &nbsp;The men conspired to loot Sagar Gofne after the accused Sachin Jagdhane received information about the ornaments and money at the realtor’s house.</p>

The incredible image caught the attention of the internet and soon enough several theories started circulating regarding the miraculous escape. However, according to&nbsp;Dora Atwater Millikin, who owns the house with her husband, the reason for the escape could have been a simple and minute change during the renovation&nbsp;of the building.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking to <em>Los Angeles Times</em>,&nbsp;Millikin said the house had undergone a recent renovation and they were looking to restore the structure's original features.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>“It’s a 100 per cent&nbsp;wood house so it’s not like we fireproofed it or anything,” the landscape painter told the publication.</p>

<p>She said the house was a 100-year-old property and was once a bookkeeper’s house for employees of the Pioneer Mill Co, a sugar plantation that operated in the region in the mid-1800s.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“We love old buildings, so we just wanted to honour the building.&nbsp;And we didn’t change the building in any way — we just restored it.”</p>

<h2><strong>Changing the roof material</strong></h2>

<p>She said one decision that may have unknowingly helped the house survive the wildfire was replacing the asphalt roof with one made out of heavy-gauge metal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“When this [wildfire]&nbsp;was all happening, there were pieces of wood - 6, 12 inches long - that were on fire and just almost floating through the air with the wind and everything,” she said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“They would hit people’s roofs, and if it was an asphalt roof, it would catch on fire. And otherwise, they would fall off the roof and then ignite the foliage around the house.”</p>

<p>Almost three days after&nbsp;Auschwitz Museum slammed X, formerly known as Twitter, for keeping up a post denying Holocaust, the social media platform has taken it down. X initially said the post did not break its rules.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last week, the museum posted an image of a three-year-old Jewish girl who was murdered in the concentration camp's gas chambers. In reply to the post, one user posted the&nbsp;black-and-white photo of the child with a cartoon of a hook-nosed man with gold coins and a prayer shawl, stating, "I'll make trillions off this fairytale!"</p>

<p>While X's policies clearly state that Holocaust denial is prohibited, the platform took no action, despite the museum's complaint.</p>

<p>"After reviewing the available information, we want to let you know [the account]&nbsp;hasn't broken our safety policies. We know this isn't the answer you're looking for. If this account breaks our policies in the future, we'll notify you," read the reply by X to the museum's complaint.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Afterwards, the controversy snowballed, attracting media attention as well as social media chatter. Seeing the backlash, X said it had removed the post. However, according to multiple reports, the account which posted the image was still up and hadn't been removed.&nbsp;The company says it is reviewing whether the account should be permanently suspended.</p>

<p>Earlier, the museum had not taken well to X owner Elon Musk's newly proposed idea of killing the block button. The museum criticised the move and said&nbsp;blocking “provides a way to protect the memory of people who suffered and were murdered” at the Nazi concentration and extermination camp.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Failing to address the antisemitic and Holocaust denial comments that appear under our posts commemorating the victims of Auschwitz would be a disservice to their memory,” the museum said.</p>

<p>UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, who has been sent to the International Space Station on a six-month space mission, shared a fascinating video on X (previously known as Twitter) which demonstrated how he ate honey and bread for a quick snack.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the viral video, Neyadi is showing how honey changes in space which has left many science lovers mesmerised. From a bottle of Emirati honey, he first squeezes&nbsp;a huge dollop of honey on a piece of bread. The honey is seen forming a ball after attaching itself to the slice of bread.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The scientist then leaves his snack floating in zero gravity and slowly gets hold of the floating bread and jiggles the honey on it. He then holds the bread and enjoys his honey sandwich.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the video, he also speaks about the benefits of eating honey and adds that it is good for the health of astronauts.</p>

<p>It is a money-saving trick which gets you to your destination but trumps the pricing system employed by the airline.</p>

<p>So for example, if someone wants to travel from Boston to Houston but the ticket prices are high, the traveller searches for a flight to a different destination which has Houston as a layover.</p>

<p>And on reaching Houston, the traveller leaves the airport without taking the flight to that third destination. Because Houston is where the traveller wanted to go in the first place.</p>

<p>Experiences from travellers from around the world reported in various media reports have revealed that this particular way of 'hidden city' ticketing saves money.</p>

<p>But this can get you in trouble!</p>

<p>It's not that airlines are snoozing and are blissfully unaware of this. Commercial aviation is by nature a business of slim margins and any drain on their would-be revenue makes the airlines take serious note of it.</p>

<p>There have been examples of airlines suing passengers who skiplagged. In theory, they can even bar the passenger from leaving the airport in the layover city.</p>

<p>"We had previously instructed Garvit about safety measures in such situations. He made attempts to seek assistance by using the emergency button and knocking on the door. Unfortunately, his pleas for help went unanswered. He decided to keep calm and focused by immersing himself in his homework as panic began to set in," Pawan Chandila was quoted as saying by The Tribune.</p>

<p>An hour later, the tuition teacher contacted the Chandila family, concerned that Garvit hadn't reached the class.</p>

<p>The parents initiated a search and discovered through the security guard that the elevator had been inoperative.</p>

<p>Consequently, the technical team was called, and the situation was eventually resolved around 7 PM, with Garvit safely rescued from the lift.</p>

<p>The family is now demanding accountability for negligence, citing the elevator's regular malfunctions.</p>

<p>"We need to hold those responsible for alleged negligence accountable, as the lift had gone unrepaired for an extended period," Chandila added.</p>

<p>After the crash, the&nbsp;Corinthians football club released a statement saying it will provide full support to the families of the victims.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The Corinthians Paulista Sport Club expresses its sorrow for the victims of the accident that occurred early in the morning of this Sunday (20), on the Fernão Dias highway, involving the bus carrying fans that were in Belo Horizonte to support the team during the match against Cruzeiro, the previous night," read the statement.&nbsp;<br />

"Corinthians stands with the families of the deceased fans and remains available to support them, as well as other victims of the accident and authorities involved in rescue and recovery," it added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At least three people have died while three others have been hospitalised after drinking milkshakes contaminated with listeria bacteria at a restaurant in Washington, USA.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to a release by the Washington State Department of Health, investigators found the outbreak related to ice cream machines that were not cleaned properly at a&nbsp;Frugals restaurant in Tacoma.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Listeria bacteria found in all milkshake flavours sold at Frugals restaurant at 10727 Pacific Ave. S., Tacoma, WA are associated with a foodborne listeriosis outbreak linked to six hospitalisations and three deaths," read the statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Although the restaurant stopped using its ice cream machines on August 8, Listeria can still sicken people up to 70 days later.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Reports state that the victims (five people in Pierce County and one person in Thurston County) were hospitalised between February 27 and July 22. Investigations revealed that the bacteria inside the milkshakes were the same strain of Listeria that triggered hospitalisations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The health department said anyone who ate at the Tacoma restaurant between May 29 and August 7 and is showing symptoms of Listeria is urged to contact a doctor at the earliest.&nbsp;</p>
