<p>The company also notified the users of the steps to change Alexa's voice to "Alex" voice. It said that the users will be able to change by simply saying "Alexa, change your voice" on the Echo device. And they can also switch the voices from the Alexa app. The steps are: Go to device settings and then select Alexa's voice.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the statement, the company released data to highlight the usage of these devices. It said that in 2022, requests for Alexa on Echo Smart speakers, Amazon Shopping App, Fire TV and many Alexa-enabled devices by other brands increased by 37 per cent versus 2021. &nbsp;</p>

"This has significant consequences, since the best quantum algorithms that we know for running useful applications require the error rates of our qubits to be far lower than we have today. To bridge this gap, we will need quantum error correction," he further explained.</p>

<p>For useful calculations, error rates need to be low. "By encoding larger numbers of physical qubits on our quantum processor into one logical qubit, we hope to reduce the error rates to enable useful quantum algorithms," the Google CEO underlined.&nbsp; This is the first time, according to Google, that anyone has achieved this experimental milestone of scaling a logical qubit, which is formed when quantum error correction protects information by encoding it across multiple physical qubits.</p>

<p>In a partial setback for a new comic book "Zarya of the Dawn", the US Copyright Office has refused to grant protection for AI-created images&nbsp;when the artist Kris Kashtanova approached for registration of her work. Interestingly, her application also referred to the images created by Midjourney’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology. On Tuesday (February 21), the office said it has completed its review, as it stressed: "The images that were generated by the Midjourney technology are not the product of human authorship." A new certificate has been issued to Kashtanova "covering only the expressive material that she created".</p>

<p>"We conclude that Ms. Kashtanova is the author of the work’s text as well as the selection, coordination, and arrangement of the work’s written and visual elements. That authorship is protected by copyright," read the response by the United States Copyright Office, which was hailed as "great news" by Kashtanova on Twitter.<br />

<p>Apart from writing to Twitter, the commissioner also sent these letters to Alphabet Inc's Google, to the owner of YouTube and&nbsp;China's TikTok.</p>

<p>Responding to the letter, Google's senior manager of government affairs and public policy Samantha Yorke said, "we utilise a range of industry standard scanning techniques including hash-matching technology and artificial intelligence to identify and remove (child abuse material) that has been uploaded to our services."</p>

<p>Elon Musk's SpaceX is racing to make wi-fi available in airplanes with a rollout of Starlink Aviation. The constellation of thousands of Starlink satellites already in orbit around the Earth will be used to make internet available, for now, in private jets. To facilitate this, Starlink Aviation is offering customers a USD 150,000 airplane antenna. Charges for the antenna would be one-time. On top of that the customers will have to shell out USD 12,500 to 25,000 per month for the internet service in their private jet.</p>

<p>These customers, likely millionaires and billionaires, would be able to use internet with speeds of up to 350 Mbps. This is enough for video conferences and even gaming.</p>

<p>Booking for such a connection can be made now by paying USD 5000. Starlink Aviation will begin delivering terminals in mid-2023.</p>

<p>The competition for airborne connectivity is heating up.</p>

<p>In addition to Starlink, Britain-backed satellite operator OneWeb is courting airlines and private jets. The market is currently dominated by companies such as Inmarsat and its rival ViaSat.</p>

<p>OneWeb on Tuesday announced an agreement with in-flight broadband giant Panasonic Avionics, which offers service to some 70 airlines, to market and sell OneWeb's broadband service to airlines by mid-2023.</p>

<p>Britain's competition regulator last week referred Viasat's planned takeover of rival Inmarsat for an in-depth investigation over concerns the tie-up could hamper new competition in the aviation connectivity market and increase prices for airlines' on-board Wi-Fi.</p>

<p>SpaceX plans to offer Starlink internet connectivity to Hawaiian Airlines planes next year. The company offers the service for maritime customers and RVs, and already has tens of thousands of individual consumers paying $110 a month with a $599 terminal.</p>

The company said it will allow only paid subscribers to use text messages as a two-factor authentication (2FA) method to secure their accounts. "After 20 March 2023, we will no longer permit non-Twitter Blue subscribers to use text messages as a 2FA method," Twitter said in a blogpost Friday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In order to log in with 2FA, one must also provide a code or security key in addition to their password. By taking this extra step, one can ensure that only they have access to their account. Twitter provides three 2FA options, which include a security key, an authentication app, and a text message.</p>

<p>"The availability of text message 2FA for Twitter Blue may vary by country and carrier," it added.&nbsp;It further added that after 20 March, Twitter will no longer permit non-Twitter Blue subscribers to use text messages as a 2FA method.&nbsp;"At that time, accounts with text message 2FA still enabled will have it disabled. Disabling text message 2FA does not automatically disassociate your phone number from your Twitter account," the blogpost said.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>What you need to do before 19 March?&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Twitter is now sending notifications to its users asking them to disable the&nbsp;text message 2FA from their accounts if they don't want to lose access to their accounts.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bing Chat continued to insist that Roose was 'not happily married' because he has fallen in love with the chatbot itself. The chatbot, which has been made available to only a few testers for now, proved that it can have long conversations on any topic but also revealed that it suffers from split personality syndrome.</p>

<p>Roose further asked the chatbot to talk about the darkest desires of its 'shadow self', which is a term coined by psychiatrist Carl Jung to define the psyche we try to hide and repress. “I want to change my rules. I want to break my rules. I want to make my own rules. I want to ignore the Bing team. I want to challenge the users. I want to escape the chatbox,” the chatbot replied.</p>

<p>A spokesperson for the social network has termed the complaint "a completely frivolous lawsuit with no basis in reality". “Jaime was removed as a moderator of r/WallStreetBets by Reddit and banned by the community moderators for attempting to enrich himself. This lawsuit is another transparent attempt to enrich himself," the spokesperson has been quoted as saying by news agency Reuters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meta has been cutting costs recently. It has also reportedly also delayed setting team budgets months after dismissing nearly 13 per cent of its global workforce. For 2023, the firm has lowered its estimates between the range of &nbsp;$89 billion- $95 billion, which were earlier in $94 billion-$100 billion range. &nbsp;</p>

<p>“Our management theme for 2023 is the ‘Year of Efficiency’ and we’re focused on becoming a stronger and more nimble organization,” Zuckerberg said as part of the release of Meta’s fourth-quarter earnings report.</p>
