It also said that the nation's troops had taken better positions near Avdiivka.

As per media reports, the Russian Army has recruited over 100 Indians to fight in its ongoing war in Ukraine, a fact acknowledged by India’s foreign ministry just two days back.

“We know that a few Indian nationals have signed up for support jobs with the Russian Army. The Indian Embassy has regularly taken up this matter with the relevant Russian authorities for their early discharge,” said MEA spokesman Randhir Jaiswal.

It has been reported that most of these Indians were treated unfairly by the Russian authorities, prompting them to seek assistance from the Indian government.

"Ukraine is just running out of money," she said.&nbsp;

"They’re spending more than every penny they're taking in, in tax revenue, on military salaries and defence, and they wouldn’t have any schools or hospital or first responders if not for the money we’re sending to them to support them."

This comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's chief of staff voiced a similar warning.

<h2>A 'big risk'</h2>

Also on Tuesday, Andriy Yermak said that the postponement of US assistance would create a "big risk" of Ukraine losing the war against Russia.

These remarks, as per Reuters, were some of the frankest yet by a senior Kyiv official.

Just hours after he unexpectedly skipped a virtual meeting with US senators, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will join a video summit with the leaders of the G7.

The summit is slated to be held on Wednesday (Dec 6). As per chair Japan's spokesperson Hirokazu Matsuno, the meeting will see Zelensky "join the first part".

Zelensky, during the meeting with US senators, was expected to press them for the $60 billion aid package.&nbsp;

During the video meeting, the talks, as per a Reuters report citing a White House official, are expected to cover Ukraine, the Middle East, support for developing countries, and artificial intelligence.

Taking to social media platform X, he posted: "This is another crime committed by Russian terrorists. Violation of the rules of war. The killing of unarmed soldiers".

Ukraine launches investigation into alleged Russian execution of surrendering Ukrainian soldiers

Russia's mercenary group intends to provide an air defence system to Lebanon's militant group Hezbollah or to the regime in Tehran, as part of an "unprecedented defence cooperation" between the two US adversaries, the White House said on Tuesday (Nov 21).

The Russian mercenary group Wagner has resumed recruiting fighters and is now being headed by Yevgeny Prigozhin’s son Pavel, Russian media reported.

The development was confirmed by 59.RU news outlet on Tuesday (Oct 31), which cited a representative of Wagner in Perm city.

Another Russian outlet NGS.RU, citing a source in the mercenary organisation's local branch, also reported on Wednesday that Wagner has started hiring fighters.

However, this outlet did not mention Pavel assuming charge.

The local media reported that recruitment is currently taking place in the country’s Perm and Novosibirsk regions.

The reports claimed to have spotted recruitment posters in Wagner's Perm office on VKontakte, and on Telegram, listing several requirements for prospective recruits.

<h2>Starts mass hiring again&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>

In posts titled "We're coming back," they said that the hopeful joiners need to have a Russian passport for operations outside the country, records of their families and close relatives, and vaccination certificates.

"The emblems and symbols remain the same. We recruit those who already have combat experience, including those who already worked for the PMC (private military company). The only difference is that we hire only free people, not from prisons," a local Wagner representative told news site 59.RU.

According to some reports, after the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin in an air crash in August 2023, his 25-year-old son Pavel took over the leadership and assumed command of remnants of Wagner.

For several months, speculations were rife among the Russian military bloggers over who would be the successor of the Wagner Group.

There were reports that the&nbsp;Russian Defence Ministry would take over Wagner's men and resources, with Western intelligence officials telling&nbsp;The New York Times&nbsp;in August that the ministry is trying to restructure the mercenary company.

The Defence Ministry has also established other private military companies to recruit Wagner's men, particularly in Africa or the Middle East, the&nbsp;Institute for the Study of War, a US-based think tank, said.

As per Lubinets' statement, preliminary information has revealed that "the occupiers have killed the whole of the Kapkanets family, who were celebrating a birthday and who had refused to hand their own house over to occupiers from Chechnya."

Citing preliminary information, the prosecutors' office in Ukraine-controlled Donetsk has alleged that attackers in Russian army uniforms shot the entire family after they refused to comply with demands to vacate their family home. It also said that two children, aged around five and nine, were among the victims.

Meanwhile, Russia's official Investigations Committee has said that as per preliminary information, "the motive for the crime was a domestic conflict."

Ukrainian family of 9, including two minors brutally slain by Russian soldiers

Vladimir Putin's arrival in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday marked his first trip abroad since the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for him in March.

Putin's arrival in Kyrgyzstan was reported by Russian news agencies TASS, Interfax, and RIA Novosti early on Thursday.&nbsp;

During the visit, he is scheduled to meet with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov and take part&nbsp;in a summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Russian ally, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, and other regional leaders will also participate in the summit.

As per the report, the newly supplied coats have been tested by the Ukraine special forces.&nbsp;

Ukraine's Deputy Minister for Innovation Mykhailo Fedorov called these coats a 'game changer' for Kyiv forces and said: "The cloak blocks the radiation of heat and makes the fighters invisible to the enemy. For example, it will be for snipers or Special Operations Forces that perform combat tasks."

"The invisibility cloak is just one of the developments that will help save the lives of our soldiers at the front. Now we need even more," he added.

<h2>The need for invisibility cloaks</h2>

During the course of the Russia-Ukraine war, Russian drones have spotted Kyiv's marksmen sneaking up on Moscow's forces. This detection has more often than not landed Ukrainian snipers in grave danger.

This development comes as Ukraine on Thursday (5th October) announced that its troops have made headway in the eastern theatre of their counteroffensive operation against aggressor Russia. As per Reuters, Kyiv forces, however, said that they were under pressure further north.

Recent days have also seen Western nations criticise Ukraine's counteroffensive strategy. While President Volodymyr Zelensky has acknowledged that it is proceeding more slowly than the military would have liked, he has dismissed Western criticism.

In November 2022, Zelensky was recruited by Yevgeny Prigozhin's Wagner mercenary group to fight in the Ukraine conflict. He returned from the war zone in April this year and received an unexpected pardon from the Russian government.

While Zelensky's mother believes that her son's pardon is justified due to his apparent remorse for his past actions, the victim's family, particularly her sister, expressed dismay over not being notified of his release and pardon.

Tatiana Melekhina, an accountant, unknowingly became involved with Zelensky, a machinist nine years her senior, who concealed his marriage and daughter from her.

“I became angry. I wanted to calm her down,” Zelensky reportedly told investigators and added, “She was screaming. I grabbed her by the throat from behind, put her in a chokehold… I dragged her while continuing to restrain her and tightening my grip on her throat. She stopped breathing.”

Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, was pictured on Friday meeting with one of the senior former Wagner mercenary group commanders and talking about the best way to utilize "volunteer units" in the battle in Ukraine. The conference emphasized the Kremlin's attempt to demonstrate that it had taken control of the mercenary group following its leader Yevgeny Prigozhin's June insurrection, which was put down when he and other senior commanders were killed in an August plane crash.

Prigozhin was killed along with nine other people when a plane, which took off from Moscow and was headed to Saint Petersburg, crashed on August 23.

As per the experts, the Wagner mutiny was the most significant challenge to the rule of Putin.

The rebellion was called off by Prigozhin after he apparently finalised a deal with the Kremlin through the mediation of Belarus, after which he faced no criminal prosecution.

Troshev, who is a retired colonel famous by the nickname "Sedoi" (Gray-haired), hails from St Petersburg, the hometown of Putin, and is a decorated veteran of Kremlin campaigns in Chechnya, Afghanistan and Syria.

He was one of the Wagner Group's leaders in Syria for which he was put on the sanctions list of the the European Union in December 2021.
