Prince William and the entire Royal family are currently mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Amid this, guess what the social media users are talking about? Prince William and Britney Spears romance! Yes, you have read it right.

It may be shocking for many, but did you know that now Prince of Wales and queen of pop have shared a few emails when they were young? Spears' old interview is going viral in which the singer shared how close she and William came to dating, but eventually, things didn't work out between them.

The interview is from the year 2002 when Britney become a worldwide sensation and all thanks to her hits like 'Baby one more time' & 'Oops! I did it again'.
She also revealed how they planned to meet when she was on her UK tour but he never showed up.

"'We exchanged e-mails for a little bit and he was supposed to come and see me somewhere but it didn't work out," she says in the video, as per Daily Mail.

''You were blown out by Prince William?'', the host asked. To which she replied, ''Yeah.''

Queen Elizabeth II smiling at children waving Kenyan flags and the Union Jack, alighting from the "Royal Train" or shaking hands with a curious little boy -- are all previously unseen images from an enormous archive taken by celebrated photojournalist Mohamed Amin. Queen Elizabeth II's funeral updates

The black and white photographs of the queen, shown exclusively to AFP, reflect a level of access that is unheard of today, with Amin capturing candid shots of the monarch chatting with three Kenyan presidents.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle uninvited from a pre-funeral function: Report

Elizabeth II, who died last week at the age of 96, had a close relationship with Kenya. She learnt the news of her father's death while on her first visit to the former British colony in 1952. She arrived a princess and departed a queen.

Amin covered all her trips to Kenya as monarch.

A prolific journalist whose heartbreaking images of the Ethiopian famine in 1984 brought global attention to the crisis, Amin shot some three million photographs.

He spent decades leading his company Camerapix -- which supplied video and pictures to several news outlets -- before his tragic death in a plane hijacking in 1996, aged just 53.

His son Salim Amin now runs Camerapix and manages his father's enormous private archive in Nairobi -- filled with photos which have never gone on public display.

Despite being "a child of colonialism" -- born to a South Asian family in Tanzania -- Amin rarely expressed an opinion about the royal family, his son said.

"He couldn't afford to have an opinion because it would affect his job," he told AFP.

But Amin never kowtowed to authority or discriminated between princes and paupers, his son added, describing how a chance meeting in Saudi Arabia with a bodyguard to exiled dictator Idi Amin helped him score an exclusive interview with the so-called Butcher of Uganda.

"If he hadn't been friendly with the bodyguard (in Uganda), he wouldn't have gotten the interview!"

- Google archive -

The queen's death has raised questions about Britain's colonial past and the abuses committed by British authorities across Africa, including during her reign.

Queen Elizabeth II smiling at children waving Kenyan flags and the Union Jack, alighting from the "Royal Train" or shaking hands with a curious little boy -- are all previously unseen images from an enormous archive taken by celebrated photojournalist Mohamed Amin. Queen Elizabeth II's funeral updates The black and white photographs of the queen, shown exclusively to AFP, reflect a level of access that is unheard of today, with Amin capturing candid shots of the monarch chatting with three Kenyan presidents. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle uninvited from a pre-funeral function: Report Elizabeth II, who died last week at the age of 96, had a close relationship with Kenya. "If he hadn't been friendly with the bodyguard (in Uganda), he wouldn't have gotten the interview!" - Google archive - The queen's death has raised questions about Britain's colonial past and the abuses committed by British authorities across Africa, including during her reign. In this context, Amin's achievements testify to a triumph against daunting odds. A self-taught photographer, he often encountered racism in the field, with officials automatically deferring to his white colleagues. But he also saw his identity as a source of strength.
Amazon miniTV, today released the trailer for the latest short film - 'The List', from the Mini Movie Festival line-up. The intriguing trailer of the new short film gives a glimpse into the lives of a young couple in their early 30s.

This couple, tired of their mundane routine and almost robotic life, reaches a point where they find themselves lacking emotions. However, a few decisions and unnerving turns in their monotonous life bring up emotions that have been buried in deep, dark corners. How do you think this couple deals with change, especially since they’re so used to the status quo?

"It was an amazing experience for me to work in a short film, which is completely different from shooting a full-length feature film. The realism of my character, the depth that is achieved in the story in such a short span, and the intricacies of daily life that have been portrayed are all elements that make this short film a masterpiece. Kudos to Gaurav (Director) and Roy Kapur Films for creating, presenting, and backing such an out-of-the-box, performance-driven concept. The film is also a commentary on how robotic our human lives have become and Gaurav truly believed that Kirti and I would be able to manifest this on-screen, he has a very big hand in helping us achieve this. I've to say that when I got a call from Siddharth Roy Kapur asking me to be a part of this story that had its unique realism and gravity, I was thrilled! I’m glad Amazon miniTV is making it so easily accessible to such a large number of people through its special ‘Mini Movie Festival." said Angad Bedi.

In her memoir, Hache writes, “I was labeled ‘outrageous’ because I fell in love with a woman. I had never been with a woman before I dated Ellen,” as per THR.

Sharing her feelings, further, she wrote, “I did not, personally, identify as a lesbian. I simply fell in love! It was, to be clear, as odd to me as anyone else. There were no words to describe how I felt.”
''Gay didn’t feel right, and neither did straight. Alien might be the best fit, I sometimes thought. What, why, and how I fell in love with a person instead of their gender, I would have loved to have answered if anyone had asked, but as I said earlier, no one ever did. I am happy that I was able to tell you in this book — once and for all,'' she wrote in her forthcoming book.
This year's New York Fashion week is all about Julia Fox and her jaw-dropping looks. Fox, who is well-known for her experiments with stylish and daring outfits, recently made heads turn with her wet mermaid look. Recently, she attended the Parsons MFA show and her risque see-through dress has garnered all the attention. The unusual dress was from a student designer, Weiran, as per Page Six, and Fox carried it will all her charm and glamour. The revealing outfit features a crystal-like complete see-through top, covering her breast, and some part of the shoulder. It was paired with a sea-blue colour asymmetrical skirt with a front long slit and long train and a matching handle, that she was holding. She wore matching crystal sandals, also. Her makeup and hair were completely matching with her steamy and sultry look. She did her eyes with aqua colours and added silver glitter to them and her brown glossy lipstick was just perfect.
Jimmy Kimmel faced a lot of backlash for his comedy skit which he performed during Quinta Brunson's acceptance speech after she won her first Emmy for outstanding writing for a comedy series for 'Abbott Elementary'.

However, now Kimmel is regretting his actions that turned out to be weird. On the recent episode of his show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', the comedian took some time and apologised to Quinta, who was the guest of the evening.

During the episode, Quinta was the first who interrupted Jimmy's opening monologue by showing off her golden trophy and telling how Kimmel's action took 45-seconds of her speech time.

However, when she sat down on the couch, Kimmel first congratulated her for the historic win and said, “I feel like I just saw you. Congratulations on your Emmy. I missed it. How did it go?”

Later, calling his actions “dumb comedy bit”, he added, ''And then people said I stole your moment and maybe I did, and I’m sorry I did do that,”

“Also, the last thing I would ever want to do is upset you because I think so much of you. I think you know that. I hope you know that.”

Venice Film Festival 2022: Here's the complete list of winners

`Don`t Worry Darling` star Harry Styles was soft-spoken while accepting an award for one of his first major movie roles at this year`s Toronto International Film Festival.

According to Variety, Styles, a man of relatively few words, and the cast of `My Policeman` received the ensemble award at the festival`s Tribute Awards on Sunday night."Thank you so much to everyone here, on behalf of all of us, for this wonderful, wonderful award," said Styles, who stars in the romantic drama as a closeted police officer. "We all loved working on this film so much. And we hope you enjoy it."Styles then hastily exited the Fairmont Royal York, where the annual gala is held while carrying the train of his co-star Emma Corin`s long, black dress.

However, there were enough other A-listers to make the three-hour party lively. Even though the festival is still going on, Toronto conducted its fourth annual tribute awards, honouring stars including Michelle Yeoh, Sam Mendes, Brendan Fraser, and Oscar-winning composer Hildur Gunadottir of `Joker,` `Women Talking,` and `Tar.`Buffy Sainte-Marie, an Oscar-winning composer who received another award that evening, remarked about the need of casting Indigenous people in Indigenous roles.

Sainte-Marie declared, "It`s more significant than just fooling white people." "These individuals will see your movies with their complete civilizations present. Could "The Sopranos" have been cast without Italians? "Fraser then reconnected with Yeoh, his co-star from `The Mummy 3,` while Colman and Mendes presided over a table near the front of the room as fans approached them to express their admiration for their work.

Fraser started the awards season on an emotional note, breaking down in tears during the Venice world premiere of `The Whale,` which was followed by Sunday night`s gala. His portrayal of a 600-pound gay guy in a wheelchair is anticipated to propel him to the front of the race for this year`s best actor Oscar. His performance was equally embraced at TIFF (though the standing ovation was slightly shorter).

At Sunday`s ceremony, Fraser again appeared to be visually emotional as Aronofsky introduced him by saying, "We need more people like Brendan Fraser, the man and the actor."For Fraser, 'The Whale' marks a career resurgence as his first major film role in years. He thanked the fans ("It`s the audience that gives cinema life," he says) for "keeping me in the job that I love."

"Art is about taking a risk, and you should know that [Aronofsky and screenwriter Samuel D. Hunter] took a chance on me, and I will be forever grateful to them," he said. "The Whale' is a redemption story." With his trophy in hand, Fraser remarked, "This is new for me. Normally, I`m the guy at the podium who hands these things out."

'My Policeman' is set in the 1950s and sees Harry star as policeman Tom, who falls in love with a schoolteacher in Brighton. However, he soon begins a same-sex romance with a museum curator despite homosexuality being illegal at the time.

Is the growing trend of hiring foreigners as artists, technicians etc taking away jobs of their Indian counterparts in the film industry? Well, film union leaders say the threat is real.

They also claim many foreigners working in Bollywood don't possess a proper work permit, and that the Mumbai Police seldomly act.

The Indian film industry, like its counterparts in sectors like Information Technology, telecom etc, is increasingly hiring foreign talents in the fields such as cinematography, direction, production, script-writing, and junior artists and dancers.

The majority of foreigners are being fired from countries like the UK, Russia, and Uzbekistan to name a few.

Unions of film employees and representatives of political parties claim that foreigners are being hired in large numbers as junior actors, make-up artists, hair stylists, dancers, action directors, stuntmen, costume designers, art directors, and technicians in Bollywood.

It may appear as a win-win situation for the film industry and foreigners as the industry gets a variety of talent and the foreigners earn a steady income, but the unions differ.

"We all know that Indian film and advertisement industries are ranked first in the world as far as the number of films produced per year is concerned. The annual turnover is pegged at USD 2.7 billion. Indian cinema is composed of various regional language film industries employing a large number of people. However, the Indian film industry is now facing a major issue with the foreign crew replacing their Indian counterparts. Many of these foreigners are working illegally in India in violation of visa norms," a union leader said.

Why employing foreign crew should not be banned the way Pakistani actors and technicians are not allowed to work in the Indian film industry, he questioned.

Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) chairman Ashok Dubey told PTI they don't permit the hiring of the foreign crew.

"The hiring is done by producers. Unfortunately, our people are losing employment opportunities. Almost 90 per cent of foreigners working in the Indian film industry are working illegally without proper work permits," he alleged.

He also claimed that producers and coordinators do not entertain discussions on this topic.

"We had complained to Mumbai Police many times about this issue (foreigners working illegally) but they didn't take our complaint seriously and failed to act. I have faced four FIRs (First Information Reports) when I raised these issues for the betterment of our workers. At least three lakhs workers are members of the FWICE in various capacities. We fight for their rights, he said.

However, the exact number of foreigners, and their countries of origin, working in Bollywood, Tollywood, and other regional film industries, is not known.

BJP Chitrapat Union president Sandip Ghuge said foreigners working illegally in films and also on OTT (Over The Top) platforms is a big issue.

"This is injustice for the Indian crew, including make-up artists and technicians. The majority of foreigners are working on a tourist visa and don't possess a work permit," he said.

Ghuge said the Chitrapat Union had complained to the Foreigners Registration Office (FRRO) and Mumbai Police. He alleged the police didn't initiate action, mainly because many local officials are unaware of the law against illegal foreign artists, and technicians.

"It seems FRRO is very reluctant to act. This should be stopped with the strict implementation of law and strong action should be initiated against the agents and coordinators who support this illegal activity," he demanded.

Mumbai Police officials refused to comment.
